What are credits?
Credits pay for API and optional HD background removal. One successfully processed image costs one credit. Failed processing jobs are refunded. Interrupted pending requests can take longer: scheduled reconciliation returns the credit without requiring another request. Standard browser background removal and PNG downloads are free; optional HD processing uses one credit per successful image.
How do plans and image quantities work?
Choose a quantity in either plan. Pay-as-you-go starts at 120 API images for $12, with every pack priced at $0.10 per image. Monthly subscriptions start at 500 images for $35 per month, with every tier priced at $0.07 per image. Your selected credits are added after payment; monthly credits are added again after each paid renewal. For higher or custom volumes, select Enterprise and contact us for a quote.
Do my credits expire?
Purchased credits and unused monthly credits do not expire. Unused credits stay in your account, including after you cancel your subscription.
Can I cancel my subscription?
Yes. Open Manage billing in your account to manage your subscription in Paddle’s customer portal. Canceling stops future renewals. You can continue to use any credits already in your account.
What happens if I run out of credits?
API requests will return an insufficient-credits error until you add more credits. You can buy a one-time pack or wait for your next monthly renewal. Browser editing remains free.
What can I do with a free account?
An account lets you save images, manage API keys, and view your credit balance. Eligible verified accounts receive 10 trial credits for 10 images. No payment card is needed for the trial.
What image sizes are supported?
The browser editor accepts JPG, PNG, and WebP images up to 20 MB and 16 megapixels. The API accepts the same formats up to 3 MiB and 4 megapixels. Both preserve dimensions after EXIF orientation is applied.
